[About the MRA] The Motorcycle Riders Association of South Australia is an association whose main aim is to protect the rights of all motorcyclists in South Australia and provide them with a voice in the public and political arenas. It also aims to change the negative attitudes shown towards motorcyclists by the media and the general public through its support of road safety initiatives and its involvement in the local community with such events as the SA Toy Run and various charity rides. It also has a social side, holding rallies and runs for members and friends to get together in a family friendly environment. The MRA SA is run by motorcyclists for motorcyclists and membership entitles you to have an active role in the Association and how it is run. You are entitled to vote on issues which will affect the future of motorcycling, as well as contribute ideas and raise issues. You may stand for election to the MRA Committee or its Subcommittees, contribute to the MRA magazine, the ‘Centrestand’ and come along to meetings and have your say. The Motorcycle Riders Association is not an exclusive organisation, and welcomes membership from riders of all ages, makes and marques of motorcycles and scooters, new, old, vintage or classic. Being a member of another club or organisation does not prevent you joining the Motorcycle Riders Association and enjoying the benefits of membership. As a member you will receive a copy of the 'Centrestand' which is published four times a year; in March, June, September and December. One of the primary aims of 'Centrestand' is to keep you informed on current issues and what the Association is doing in regards to them. It also provides you with a means of expressing your opinion or raising issues of concern to you. All contributions to 'Centrestand' are welcome from members and can be made to the Editor.
In this site, you will find information relating to runs, rallies and other MRA and motorcycling activities and news. Details of these activities can be found on other pages of this web site along with meeting times of various interest groups. Please feel free to attend any meeting - who knows, one meeting could change your point of view or even your way of life.
