This was the first time SAS has a joint event with MRA, an historical event shared by 16 scooter riders. We met the MRA bike riders at TTP Shopping Centre at 9am. After a bit of coffee, comparison of engine sizes and chatter over McDonald's coffee we were off at 10am. The bikes went throught the hills and the 9 scooters went towards Newport Quays at Port Adelaide. We had a short break there as we were on a schedule, then we picked up 3 more scooters around the corner, who travelled from down south and TTP was too far to start. We rode further and picked up another 2 scooters on Military road before enjoying a bit of sea breeze along the Esplanard. Our 2nd break was another brief one at Glenelg outside Cibo. Here the 14 scooters took complete control of the carparks and spilling over to the Post Office loading dock. Eventually we made it to the BBQ area at Seacliff where our last 2 scooters were awaiting with food and drinks.

SAS members enjoyed a free lunch provided as a benefit of joining. The number of female riders in SAS is increasing and we look forward to building a bigger club so we can embark on making a real difference to our riding rights.
